What's "Real" in Real Estate
This obviously qualifies as a “timely question”, though sadly it is also the “too-late” question for millions of people who were swallowed up in the decidedly unreal property market of the past decade or two.
In that fantasy world anybody with detectable pulsation between the ears and rudimentary autographing skills seemed destined to make money in real estate. Any residual doubt was drowned out with a steady diet of “reality” property TV, featuring everyday Joes and Janes working (read: “flipping”) their way up the ladder of real estate success. Alas, ladders lead down, as well as up…and then there are ladders with rungs that simply won’t bear the weight of collective delusionary expectation.
As a Realtor, even operating in the relatively sane marketplace of Nova Scotia for the last decade or two, I can testify that the thing upper most on the minds of nearly all sellers and buyers, alike, has been how much money will they make by selling, or buying, the property in question.

This is a sure bet...a TriFactor Winner if there ever was one! Three superb land investments rolled into one portfolio. Start with 210 acres and more than a half mile of bold-as-bold-gets Bay of Fundy frontage on the Digby Neck. For contrast, how about 816' feet on a child-friendly sandy-bottom inlet on Shelburne Counties temperate coast, or 343' of lobster "infested" shoreline down in Yarmouth County's Morris Island (bridge connected).

A couple miles of ocean frontage, with your own fine white sand beach situated on the warmest stretch of Nova Scotia’s acclaimed South Shore...does it get any better than this? Imagine the cost of this (if it existed) on Cape Cod or Nantucket. To be sure, they’re not the same...down there you’d have a million or so folks to share it with, whilst you run the risk of getting lonely out on the sands of Round Bay.

Strange as it may seem, the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Lunenburg has virtually no residential water front. That has put a premium on a handful of buildable lots adjacent to town. This is only part of the reason why there is simply no better place to be than on the Puffycup Peninsula if one wants to be on-the-water in Lunenburg. Subdivision approved, road and (underground) power installed. Build now, or land-bank this for the future.

This property harkens back to the good old days when real estate investors, of the land-banking persuasion, could readily find large ocean front parcels in NS and add them to asset portfolios designed to secure their wealth against the vagaries in the stock and financial markets.
This huge property is the kind of tangible asset that will hold and grow in value irrespective of the machinations current in the capital and currency marketplaces.
